The word "Vastu" comes from the Sanskrit language and refers to a house or apartment that is located on a particular plot of land. And the Vastu Shastra is where you get the advice on the proper colour, shape, orientation, and format for each corner of the house to ensure that you have positive energy, good fortune, and happiness in your home. According to the principles of Vastu for the home, a home must exude a certain energy in order to be considered such, and the inhabitants of a home are said to be affected by that energy. 

According to Vastu Shastra, some other focuses for obtaining positive energy in a home are things like natural sunlight, open windows, house plants or flowers, hanging artwork, and the colour pink. According to the principles of Vastu architecture, many aspects of your home environment and mental state are directly influenced by one another.
